Fundamental Preschool & Academy is a family owned child care center. Owners, Mr. & Mrs. James are also directors at this center. This husband & wife team is dedicated to providing a warm, loving professional learning environment for families. These proud parents have a  9 year old daughter who attends the Afterschool & Summer Camp Program. The couple also have a son attending the Toddler program.

Mrs. James designs the innovative curriculum for the school and assists qualified teachers with training and lessons. She holds a Master of Arts Degree in Early Childhood Education. She has over 12 years of experience in the education of young children and hopes to truly make a difference in the community. Mr. James ensures the safety and monitors classroom teachers daily.

Fundamental Preschool & Academy opened in 2005 as an in home child care center.  The school expanded in 2008 and is currently located in Cedar Mountain Shopping Center next to Dollar General & Food Depot on Highway 5 in Douglasville, Ga. The child care center offers an innovative curriculum as well as upcoming special enrichment classes including Music, Dance, French to encourage a well rounded child! We strive in giving your child the extra boost of confidence and achievement as each child continues to grow & learn in a safe, nurturing, positive environment.
